Objectives:

  1. Identify three critical steps in the process of applying to the AAN.
  2. Evaluate your career to determine a distinctive contribution.
  3. Define how to secure important documents for the process.

Abstract:

Want to add FAAN to your credentials?  Want to increase the number of editors in the American Academy of Nursing (AAN)?  Want to understand how to increase your application’s success in being selected for Fellowship?  If you answered yes to those questions, this session will help you.  During this session, we will consider how to find distinctive contributions we make in our careers, create a plan to meet your goal in a timely manner, and determine resources you need.  This session is an outgrowth of the challenge Margaret Comerford Freda posed to INANE during our meeting in 2014–back by popular demand after a successful presentation at INANE 2015!
