The next COPE Forum meeting, where we discuss cases submitted by members, is Wednesday 3 August 2016. We are delighted that this will be a face-to- face meeting at the International Academy of Nursing Editors (INANE) Conference, at the Royal College of Nursing, 20 Cavendish Square, London. This is the last afternoon of the INANE conference but we do need INANE attendees who plan to attend to register with COPE so that we have a final count of attendees for the room arrangements. Please email the COPE Administrator to register.
This meeting is open to members outside of nursing also, so it should be a very interesting event to finish out our London conference. Nurse editors who are members of COPE (most of us are) are encouraged to submit a case if you have a situation that would benefit from the wisdom of the other members attending the Forum.
The deadline for submission of cases is 20 July. Cases must be anonymized and should be submitted via the website (http://publicationethics.org/node/add/case). You need to be logged in as a member to do this. If you have difficulty logging in under your membership, check the Members Tab at the top of the page and find your journal to verify your membership. If the contact information is out of date, please contact the COPE Administrator to update the journal information.
We do like those presenting a case to join the meeting (in person or by phone). All members are welcome to attend in person, whether or not they are presenting a case. So that we have an idea of numbers, please can you email the COPE Administrator if you are planning on attending in person. Unfortunately, there are no facilities to join the meeting by webinar for this Forum.
